Single Board Computer Workshop at Midwest Gaming Classic 2020

[ad_1]

I’m executing a “build your very own one board computer” workshop at the Midwest Gaming Vintage 2020 in downtown Milwaukee this April.

The design and style is based on the common Z80 (which they still manufacture believe that it or not) and is fairly smaller, only 3 x 3″. It has an enlargement port, make-in OLED screen, Atmel MCU as display driver/USB serial port converter and an SD card adapter for loading BIN, HEX and preserving data files or undertaking RAM dumps.

This workshop is meant to train how memory addressing is effective and you also get to consider home the sweet laptop you create! Essential soldering techniques will be valuable and there’s also a decent quantity of area mount (relatively substantial components to make it do-able) so recommendations and tricks on how to function with that are also aspect of the practical experience.

Right here are the YouTube videos I’ve produced talking about the style method. Once the style has been confirmed it will be posted to my Github if you cannot make it to the workshop but want to purchase your have copy of the PCB.
