Kingslim D1 Pro Review
- Solid Front Camera Quality
- Easy functionality, very straight forward
- – Cable is a bit thick, so there might be some issues tucking
Kingslim D1 Pro Dual Dash Cam is the second dash cam I have purchased, and for the price point, it is excellent. As opposed to the other it came with additional clips for cable management, and with the mounts, it was easy to mount on the dashboard, or above on the window. Take a look at my Kingslim D1 Pro review to learn about its other features.
The Kingslim D1 Pro dual dash cam was very neatly packaged. Very slink design with the black matte finish. No over-complicated glossy design, this is what a dash camera should look like.
Kingslim D1 Dual Dash Cam is feature-rich, including an attachable rear camera with a very long cable included. The rear camera is waterproof, built tough, and can be mounted either inside or outside the car. The GPS function allows you to track location and speed.
Large touch screen which allows for super simple operation and toggling through menus and settings. Very simple and straightforward operation. The screen is capable of showing both cameras at once, or one or the other. Simply tapping on the screen allows you to toggle which camera is displaying on the screen.
Kingslim D1 Pro Dual Dash Cam Review: Camera Quality
The Kingslim D1 Pro can simultaneously record videos with a resolution of 1080P and 720P from the front and rear respectively, clearly capturing license plates and road signs. Users have the option to switch the resolution to 720P & 720P to record longer footage and save room on the SD card.
This dash camera has a 170°+ 140°wide field of view with strong night vision, F/2.0 aperture, and advanced WDR technology, which capture images that are brighter, have higher contrast, and more important details in different light environments.
Equipped with a STARVIS sensor, this dash cam captures license plates clearly at night. Advanced WDR technology improves the overall exposure to create a well-balanced image, to capture greater details in the dark, and avoid blown highlights.
G-Sensor And Parking Mode
The Kingslim D1 Dual Dash Cam also comes with a decent built-in G-sensor. With a built-in G-sensor, the Kingslim dashboard camera can automatically detect a sudden shake/collision and lock the footage to prevent the video from being overwritten even in loop recording. An accident scene can be truly restored
Kingslim D1 Pro also employs loop recording, meaning that it is constantly recording, but splits up the recording in one-, three- or five-minute chunks for review.
A built-in parking mode feature allows the Kingslim D1 Pro to monitor your car’s surrounding for 24 hours
The Kingslim D1 Pro dual cam includes a GPS module to record your real-time location, driving route, and speed. You can replay the data on your computer with a free GPS player. Other brands require you to spend another 15 dollars to buy it separately.
Kingslim D1 Pro Manual
The suction cup to mount the camera is really nice and one that I hadn’t seen before. It has a twist lock to increase the grip to the glass.
The rear camera is very easy to install, just run the cable inside the car along the roof line using a suppled tool to hide the cable and use the tape to attach the camera to the back window.
Then just plug the cable into the front camera for power. The quick start guide and owner’s manual (downloaded from website) are very basic, but just take your time and it is to follow. It comes with a 32 GB SD card to get you started, but you will quickly run out of room, so make sure to purchase a higher capacity card.
Overall, The Kingslim D1 Pro Dual Dash Cam is a pretty good product if you are needing a lower priced camera for evidence while driving and somewhat a piece of mind if there was a hit and run while parked.
