Our Community Guidelines
Our HeyU community guidelines have been developed to help make every experience feel safe, respectful and positive.
Everyone using HeyU is expected to follow the guidelines. Not following the Community Guidelines may result in your account being suspended
Bullying or discriminating against another community member with a different social background, gender, ethnic group, race or sexual orientation is not allowed on HeyU. You should avoid talking about divisive issues, such as political and religious beliefs. If you’re subject to disrespectful behaviour, you should make a report straight away.
Threatening and rude behavior
Confrontational, aggressive and indecent behaviour is not allowed and will not be tolerated. Making threats of physical harm will not only result in your account being deactivated, but it may also prompt the involvement of local law enforcement.
Careful what you share
Never share sexually explicit photos, images of violent acts, graphic or gory images or images promoting drug use. It’s important that you don’t share your personal financial information with anyone you don’t know online. In addition, sharing any personal details about yourself may put you at unnecessary risk.
The most important part about HeyU, is for you to be yourself. This means you should only use photos of yourself for your profile picture, never lie about your age or try impersonating someone else’s identity. Heyy works best when everyone is honest and open – it’s what makes your connections more meaningful.
Obey the law
HeyU will not tolerate any unlawful behaviour occurring in the app. Incitement of violence, hate speech and organized crime are strictly forbidden activities that may be reported to local law enforcement. Sharing sexually explicit content of underage minors will be directly reported to local law enforcement.
Protect the community
If you see any behavior that violates the community guidelines, it is essential that you report it immediately. Failing to do so may result in safety risks for yourself or other community members.
What happens if you violate our Community Guidelines?
If you are reported or found to be in violation of our Community Guidelines, you will receive a warning. However, for behaviour that shows a clear lack of consideration for our guidelines or breaks the law, we will instantly ban the account. The guidelines outlined here are designed to make the HeyU community a friendly and safe space for everyone.
