Bumble Domicle 2

“Bumble Domicile” set up, 2008 Movie from Rob King
Extra colony activity. The built-in media set up, “Bumble Domicile”, incorporated several components, and is specific at Resonating Bodies (resonatingbodies.wordpress.com). The Bombus impatiens (bumble bee) colony in this video was built-in into “Bumble Domicile” by using the set up “Apiograph” (see online video by that name, also listed here). Employing a dwell facts feed of the pollination exercise from this colony of bumbles situated inside of the gallery, a virtual garden was developed, visualizing the genetic variety that bee pollination creates. The colony box sat in a window adjacent to a tiny backyard which was tended by regional artists and youth whose interactions with its plants supplied “Apiograph” with details (particulars at the Resonating Bodies website).

Resonating Bodies is a sequence of built-in media installations and group outreach jobs which focuses on biodiversity of pollinators indigenous to the all-natural and urban ecosystems of Toronto and past. It has a YouTube and Vimeo channel.
